Use the same measuring tools
Cups, tablespoons and teaspoons in this guide refer to US measuring tools. Measure nuts before soaking. Soaking water is separate: discard it after soaking and rinse the nuts.
Choose the liquid total for this batch
Where a recipe gives a range, choose one total within that range. Measure it into a jug before starting, then add it gradually. Do not measure out a full batch quantity each time you add liquid.
Keep a simple note
To compare batches, keep the ingredient type, liquid type and measuring tools the same. Change one thing at a time.
