Before you begin
Remove stems and strawberry hulls, and cut larger strawberries into pieces. Space the berries apart on a tray so they do not freeze into one block.
Freeze the pieces separately until firm. Use 8 hours or overnight as a planning guide, and check that the pieces are firmly frozen.
Take the fruit out before processing. Let it soften slightly while remaining mostly frozen, with a little give when pressed. Check it outside the machine using frozen fruit check.
Choose this batch's total water or juice amount within the 20-40 mL range. Measure it separately into a pitcher and use it gradually during processing.
Make it step by step
01 Lock the filter and close the cap
With the machine unplugged, fit and lock the Sorbet Filter following assembly guide. Close the juice outlet cap. Place a bowl beneath the pulp outlet to collect the dessert. See frozen dessert method.
02 Add a portion first, then start
Put a small portion of the prepared berries into the feed chute first. Close the large lid and complete the checks in assembly guide. Plug in and turn the dial to ON.
03 Add fruit and liquid in portions
Following feeding guide, add berries in portions, waiting for each to be drawn in before adding more. Gradually add the measured water or juice between portions. Push gently using only the supplied pusher.
05 Switch off after normal processing
After the final fruit portion has been processed during normal operation, turn the dial to O (Off) and unplug. Remove the bowl containing the dessert.
06 Enjoy now, or freeze and check
Enjoy it soft straight away. For scoops, freeze briefly; 15-20 minutes is only a guide. Check whether the dessert has firmed up before serving.
