Before you begin
Peel and slice the bananas before freezing. Space the slices apart on a freezer-safe tray so they do not freeze into one large block.
Freeze the pieces separately until firm. Use 8 hours or overnight as a planning guide, and check that the pieces are firmly frozen.
Take the fruit out before processing. Let it soften slightly while remaining mostly frozen, with a little give when pressed. Check it outside the machine using frozen fruit check.
In a separate bowl, mix all 30 mL of the plant milk with 1-2 teaspoons cocoa powder. Reserve the entire mixture to stir in after the fruit has been processed.
Stir with a spoon or small whisk until no dry powder or obvious clumps remain. Set aside.
Make it step by step
01 Lock the filter and close the cap
With the machine unplugged, fit and lock the Sorbet Filter following assembly guide. Close the juice outlet cap. Place a bowl beneath the pulp outlet to collect the dessert. See frozen dessert method.
02 Add banana first, then start
Put one prepared banana slice into the feed chute first. Close the large lid and complete the checks in assembly guide. Plug in and turn the dial to ON.
03 Process only the prepared banana
Following feeding guide, add the banana one slice at a time. Wait for each slice to be drawn in before adding the next. Push gently using only the supplied pusher. Leave the mixture of milk and flavoring in its bowl.
05 Switch off after normal processing
After the final fruit portion has been processed during normal operation, turn the dial to O (Off) and unplug. Remove the bowl containing the dessert.
06 Stir in the entire mixture
Stir all of the prepared cocoa and milk mixture into the banana dessert in the bowl. Mix until the chocolate color is even.
07 Enjoy now, or freeze and check
Enjoy it soft straight away. For scoops, freeze briefly; 15-20 minutes is only a guide. Check whether the dessert has firmed up before serving.
